Certification program
A. Certified Green Belt in Lean (CGBL)
The Green Belt level focuses on the fundamentals of the Lean strategy. In this module, the origins of Lean will be handed, the basic terminology and some initial tools & techniques to achieve improvement in a company. Also an introduction to project management as most, if not all, improvement initiatives will take place in the form of projects.
For study purposes the following table can be used as a guideline:

B. Certified Black Belt in Lean (CBBL)
The Black Belt level focuses on the application of the tools and techniques of the Lean strategy.
In this module, the practical side of Lean will be handed, the steps to proceed from a current state to a future state in different environments and techniques to achieve and maintain good equipment reliability in a company. The part on improvement management is developed. This comprises project management, more specifically the management of one project, an introduction to Lean accounting and human factors on the group level.
For study purposes the following table can be used as a guideline:

C. Certified Champion in Lean (CChL)
As the Lean Champion is supposed to function on the highest level within the company or group of companies, the Champion level deals primarily with strategic issues. The Champion should not be a "Master Black Belt", but the person who is able to oversee the Lean programme, build it, fit it into the company structure and culture and can manage the different projects involved.
