Certification process

Each calendar year, there will be 4 exam dates for the theoretical exams.

Green and Black Belt will always be offered. Champion only in June and December.

The prices for the IIBLC exams are:

    Green Belt in Lean: 350 euro (excl 21% VAT)
    Black Belt in Lean: 400 euro (excl 21% VAT)
    Champion in Lean: 450 euro (excl 21% VAT)

To ensure conformity we only accept online exam registrations. Please make sure you register before the registration deadline, which is mentioned in the table above. When you register for the Green Belt in Lean exam, please check carefully your name and birth date. Based on this information your unique IIBLC ID number will be created. If you already have an IIBLC ID number, please mention it into all future registrations to ensure that all your exam results will be linked to this unique number!

All forms received before the deadline will be automatically processed. After this deadline it is not possible anymore to register for that specific exam date.

By registering, you agree to pay the invoice for the registration immediately on receipt. No registration is considered complete before full payment of the fee. CIMCIL cannot be held responsible for cancellation charges resulting from incorrect registrations.

When you registered on time and paid in full your exam, CIMCIL provides you with a confirmation notice two weeks before the scheduled exam date. You cannot take your IIBLC exam without this official confirmation. Each confirmation lists the candidate's name, address, and IIBLC ID number, a route description, exam to be taken and the exam schedule. If you have not received your confirmation within one week before the scheduled exam date, please contact us immediately.

If you are already registered for one of the exams but you aren't able to take it, you can cancel your exam. You have several options to do this.

  •     If you want to change your exam before the registration deadline, you just have to sent a written request to CIMCIL which states that you aren't able to take  your exam and that you want to take it on another date. Note that you need to register again on line for that new date before the registration deadline.
  •     After the registration deadline, you are still able to cancel your exam. For this you have to sent a written request to CIMCIL before the cancellation deadline. Candidates will be charged a cancellation fee of 50 euro.

The only acceptable reasons for not showing up at the exam are medical reasons or emergencies. In case of this situation you must email a written explanation in English together with a copy/scan of the medical certificate to CIMCIL before the medical deadline. All certificates will be sent to IIBLC, and if they approve the emergency, your next exam will be free of charge.
