CIMCIL is licensed by APICS to administer all APICS certification exams in Belgium.

APICS provides their exams through the test centers of Pearson Vue worldwide, you can find an overview of the Testing Locations on www.pearsonvue.com

The APICS examinations are offered in computer based testing (CBT).

CBT offers the benefits of giving a greater flexibility to the candidate in taking the exam at the time that best fits their agenda. The candidate has 4 weeks the time to schedule his exam. Another benefit is the rapid turnaround of results. You will know the results immediately after you have taken the test, which influences the receipt of the certificates and the retesting.

CPIM Examination Process

The CPIM Part 1 (Basics of Supply Chain Management) body of knowledge encompasses 1 module, which means 1 exam. The CPIM Part 2 (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) body of knowledge also encompasses 1 module. For every module candidates have to take a separate exam, which means they have to pass 2 exams to become CPIM certified. From the moment they passed their first CPIM exam, they have 10 years the time to succeed for the other CPIM exams.

For the CPIM CBT examination candidates can choose to take a morning or an afternoon exam during the weekdays of the exam window. Candidates have a total of 3 hours to complete the exam.

Number of questions

A CPIM CBT exam consist out of 150 multiple choice questions. The pretest questions do not contribute to the total score but are necessary for research purposes; they are distributed randomly among the scorable items and will be used for statistical purposes only. The pre-test items are similar to the scorable items on the test, and candidates will not know which items will be scored and which will not.

 

CSCP Examination Process

The CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) body of knowledge encompasses three domains but there is only one exam.

For the CSCP CBT examination you can choose to take a morning or an afternoon exam during the weekdays of the exam window. You have a total of 4 hours to complete the exam

 

Number of questions

A CSCP CBT exam consist out of 175 multiple choice questions (150 scored questions and 25 pre-test questions). The pretest questions do not contribute to the total score but are necessary for research purposes; they are distributed randomly among the scorable items and will be used for statistical purposes only. The pre-test items are similar to the scorable items on the test, and candidates will not know which items will be scored and which will not.

What to bring to the exam?

  • Before candidates take an exam, they must present their registration confirmation and two forms of identification bearing their name and signature, one of these must include a recent photograph (eg ID card and drivers’ license).
  • candidates should bring a simple, NON-programmable calculator.
  • Candidates may bring a standard English-foreign language dictionary. The APICS dictionary in any language may not be brought into the exam room.
  • Candidates may not bring books or papers of any kind into the exam room. Scratch paper is provided at the test center.
  • Protractors, compasses, rulers, stencils, digital assistants, and other aids are not permitted.
  • Candidates may not eat, drink, or use tobacco during an exam.
  • No breaks are scheduled during any exam

 

Exam Cancellation

If candidates aren't able to take your exam, they have several options to change the selection of their exam.

When candidates want to reschedule their  APICS CBT exam to another date in the same exam window, they directly contact the CBT test centre. Candidates are required to give a 24-hour notice to Pearson Vue. It is not necessary to notify CIMCIL if candidates plan to reschedule their exam.

The only acceptable reasons for not showing up at the exam are medical reasons or emergencies. In case of this situation you must email a written explanation in English together with a copy/scan of the medical certificate to Pearson Vue before the end of the CBT exam window.
