CPIM Part 1

This program gives you a good overview of the concepts, tools and terminology specific to production and inventory management. It provides basic definitions and concepts for planning and controlling the flow of materials into, through, and out of an organization. It also explains fundamental relationships among the activities that occur in the supply chain from suppliers to customers.

Candidates who pass the Basics of Supply Chain Management exam will receive a Recognition of Achievement Certificate to acknowledge their mastery of the fundamentals of supply chain management. The BSCM program is a good backbone for both the CPIM as the CSCP program. Knowledge of the material in this module is a prerequisite for the other CPIM modules, which cover similar topics but in much greater depth.
